Market Programs

We have many state and regional programs in place to benefit market shoppers and the local community. We have listed available programs below.

  • SNAP Market Match

Families and individuals enrolled in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), formerly known as food stamps can stretch their SNAP EBT dollars at participating farmers markets across Washington State. This means you can get more for your money when using SNAP EBT to shop for fresh fruits and veggies! These are called “matching” or “incentive” programs. The largest EBT matching program in Washington state is called “SNAP Market Match.

We have UNLIMITED match due to the support from The Albert Haller Foundation. THANK YOU!

  • WIC & Senior Farmer Market Nutrition Program

The Women and Infant Children (WIC) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides vouchers for low-income seniors, pregnant women, and women with young children to purchase fresh, healthy food at farmers markets. Program participants receive the vouchers from their WIC clinic or local senior agency and spend them directly with approved farm vendors at approved farmers markets.

  • SUN Bucks (Summer Only)

SUN Bucks is a new food benefit available to an estimated 550,000 children in Washington state. Families with eligible school-aged children will get $120 per child to buy groceries during the summer while free and reduced-price meals aren’t available in schools.

  • PAFM Protein Match

For every $10 spent using EBT, we will match with a $5 protein voucher. This voucher is good for protein in the form of eggs, dairy, meat, fish, and poultry. This program is available at the Port Angeles Farmers Market, thanks to a grant from the Albert Haller Foundation.
